Interviews with our upperclassmen reveal their most promising advice for navigating the second semester. According to an interview with Mia Stacy-Jones, an upcoming junior, she expresses the importance of staying on task in the second semester.
“You don’t want to slack off because your last quarter grades can affect your GPA, and there’s no turning back, nor ‘fixing them’ in the next opportunity.” Jones also states, “–At the same time, make the most out of your last semester– because you know, there’s a lot of fun events you won’t be able to attend if your grades are really bad.”
Moreover, according to an interview with Janet Gretchen, an upcoming senior, she mentions the importance of studying and keeping up with your work.
“You can look online for some really helpful studying methods, I recommend flashcards and the PQ4R method. A Lot of people might not know it, but it’s like pretty unique and interesting, so try and take it to your advantage.”
